Kosher Home Renovations
Cambridge, Massachusetts

This project reconfigured a century-old home for the modern needs of a growing kosher family. The project included lead paint abatement, replacement of all existing windows and a total gut of the existing kitchen and bathroom.

The kitchen design met the specific needs of a Kosher family, with two dishwashers and distinct cabinets for the separation of Meat, Dairy and Kosher for Passover items. A new bathroom was designed and built in space carved out of the oversize dining room with special attention paid to acoustic isolation.

Designs included many custom built-ins including a library wall of floor to ceiling shelving cubes, a window seat with storage inside, a bathroom medicine/storage cabinet, and in-wall shelving in the bedrooms. These detailed elements were crafted from MDF and painted to keep costs down while not prohibiting the inclusion of custom built-ins the clients desired.
