Concrete House - New Construction
Rome, New York
Steven Beaucher worked directly with a professional couple to design a new 2,500SF residence on a plot of former farmland outside of Rome, NY. The design is a loose reproposition of the connected farm house typology tempered with 20th century modernism as well as 21st century materials. The exterior walls of the house are constructed of insulated concrete forms (ICFs) with Hardi-plank siding and stone veneer. The roof is intended to be standing seam metal. The homeowner is acting as his own GC and building the home on a long-term schedule. Steven Beaucher provided design services and detailed construction drawings. Garry Stein assisted in producing drawings for this project.
