The existing kitchen, which was tucked away in an isolated corner of the condominium, was completely relocated and walls were removed to create an open floor plan more conducive to today's lifestyle. In BEAUCHER & LEA's revised plan, the living, kitchen, and dining areas flow effortlessly into each other, creating a light-filled space. The wall of storage creates a zone of warmth and structure in the otherwise clean space, and allows the owners' belongings to be readily accessible while not visually cluttering the space.

New open kitchen features cooktop and glass range hood over new island.

The new dining area space connects effortlessly to both the living area (behind) and the new kitchen (beyond). This space was previously segmented by closets and outdated placement of walls.

The new kitchen was relocated to the opposite end of the condominium unit. The appliances, coat storage, bookshelves, and media components were all integrated into a continuous wall of storage cabinetry running the entire length of the lower floor of the duplex running from the kitchen through the dining room into the living space.

The refrigerator and drawer dishwasher are opened to reveal their function behind custom cabinetry.

The new kitchen countertop overhang is supported by custom fabricated steel brackets which match the stair.

New stone fireplace surround, new gas fireplace insert, new entertainment center & book shelves.

New glass openings were created to allow light to be borrowed room the living room by the office beyond.
