Working with a family that lost their home due to a devastating fire, BEAUCHER & LEA architecture is providing a vision for an entirely new residence to replace the old. The new building will provide fresh, open spaces with increased access to light and view as well as a high level of contemporary detail, replacing the traditional enclosed rooms of the previous developer home. The new residence will feature a fully equipped gourmet kitchen, casual and formal living spaces, a billiards area, a custom sculptural stair leading to elaborate master and sub-master suites including an in-home gym and wine cellar as well as a 5 car garage. The new spaces and materials of the new building will be tailored to the needs of the homeowners with specific attention paid to rectifying the inadequacies of the former spec house that was lost in the fire.

BEAUCHER & LEA architecture is working to expand the existing living spaces of a residence for two musicians and their family. The core of the project is an entirely new master suite, his and her offices, children's play areas, deck and storage areas all on an expanded attic level.

A new homeowner commissioned BEAUCHER & LEA architecture to create a master plan for the aesthetic and functional modernization of a late 19th century Greek Revival cottage in Central Square, Cambridge. The project involves the reconfiguration of the interior to incorporate a new master suite, bathrooms and renovated kitchen while restoring the exterior to its period grandeur using historic details.

A vintage late 19th century Victorian home in the Jamaica Plain neighborhood of Boston needs updating. The existing 19th century kitchen and bathrooms will be gut renovated. A new master suite and new bathrooms will be added within the existing envelope. The project will inject modern aesthetics and sensibilities into a classic Victorian envelope. The existing character of the home will be respected as spaces are rethought to fit the needs of the new homeowners.

BEAUCHER & LEA is providing full design services as well as guidance with the complex permitting and regulatory review required for a new roof deck. The new deck will be integrated into a existing penthouse condominium in Boston's Back Bay neighborhood.

A condominium owner engaged BEAUCHER & LEA architecture to orchestrate the permitting, design, engineering , cost estimating and fabrication of a custom steel deck to be installed off the third story of an historic brick townhouse.

BEAUCHER & LEA architecture is collaborating with the homeowners of an early 20th century residence in Arlington to replace and expand the existing out dated kitchen, add a new mud room and improve the efficiencies of the existing storage spaces throughout the house. As well a new master suite and exterior deck and landscaping will be integrated as part of the project.

BEAUCHER & LEA architecture has been retained to provide designs to transform a compact backyard into an intimate family retreat. Designs include elegant stone walls, wood enclosures and paving patterns that will articulate a myriad of functions in a small area. Functions include raised planting beds with southern exposure, flat areas for dining and a kiddie pool, as well as covered enclosures for bicycles and trash receptacles. Alterations will be made to the rear of the house including the addition of a new mud room with fully glazed doors and new windows to create visual and direct connections between the home and new garden. The clients are repeat collaborators with BEAUCHER & LEA architecture, having retained the firm to previously design the total renovation of their home.

Working with the owner/developer, BEAUCHER & LEA provided designs for the gut-renovation and conversion to condominiums of an existing century-old duplex residence. BEAUCHER & LEA also provided architectural condominium plans for the developer's use in converting the property into condominiums.
